Light Housekeeping: Change linens, assist with meals, and maintain a clean space. Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation Team Participation: Collaborate with hospice interdisciplinary team Qualifications Meet the training requirements of the state of practice Minimum of six months experience including providing personal care Must be 18+ years of age Complete a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training, 16 of the 75 hours of classroom must be complete prior to a mandatory 16 hours of practical training Possess and maintain current CPR certification Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given Understands hospice philosophy, comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill Ability to work with little direct supervision Ability to handle death/dying Strong oral and written communication skills Good Organizational Skills About our Line of Business At Haven Hospice, our primary ambition is to bring high-quality care to the warmest and most serene environment possible: home. Day (United States of America) Certified Nursing Assistant - Hospice The CNA provides direct and indirect care to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse. Job responsibilities include basic patient care, the ability to obtain vital signs, recording fluid intake and output, recognizing and reporting changes in patient condition, and documentation of patient care on written flow sheet and computer. This job also requires a positive attitude and demeanor, good communication skills, and performing as an effective Team Member. - High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. - Current/active Florida CNA certification required. - Minimum of one year's experience preferred. - Must possess good computer skills. - Must be customer-service oriented and able to effectively communicate and build relationships with Team Members at all levels in the organization. - Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, to assist in providing exceptional care for our patients and their families.
