Hedrick Medical Center is seeking an upcoming graduate Registered Nurse to join our Nurse Residency Program in their Medical Surgical Department

This is an excellent opportunity for a new RN to gain hands-on experience with the support of an experienced, dedicated team. Our nurse residency program provides structured mentorship, education, and professional development to help you confidently transition from student to professional nurse.

SHIFT: Full Time Nights

Responsibilities:

Utilizing the nursing process.

Performing patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff.

Coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies rules guidelines and procedures.

This opportunity will allow you to work with a variety of patient care, conditions, and diagnoses; which will allow you to overcome new challenges every day. This position will be based at Hedrick Medical Center but will float to Wright Memorial Hospital as needed. These two locations work collaboratively to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction. What will you do in this role: Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status. Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
