Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a central figure in our patient care team, delivering exceptional, compassionate care that truly makes a difference in our patients' lives.

Every day you will collaborate on comprehensive screenings, conduct critical risk assessments, provide vital preventative health education, and expertly coordinate care for diverse patient populations, leveraging technology to streamline processes. You'll ensure patients feel informed and at ease, patiently guiding them through instructions and addressing their concerns.

To be successful in this role, you will combine robust clinical knowledge and technological proficiency with genuine compassion, strong communication skills, and an adaptable approach to learning and patient-centered care.

  • Delivers professional nursing care to clinic patients; performs diagnostic testing and related clinical procedures to appropriate level of training/scope of licensure and established procedures; independently triages nursing situations in accordance with standing orders/protocols; addresses more complex, urgent or emergent situations escalated from other clinic staff.
  • Performs a variety of patient assessment/care tests (e.g. EKG, Spirometry, vision/hearing screening, peak flow, color blindness, etc.) in accordance with established protocols.
  • Makes independent wound assessments and performs complex wound care and dressing changes, including placement or changing of wound vac); removes sutures or staples after wound assessment by a Provider.
  • Inserts and/or removes tubes, drains, urinary catheters, including removal of peripherally-inserted central catheter (PICC); applies splints/braces.
  • Instructs patients in the collection of samples and other tests; ensures that patient or family understands follow-up and referral information.
  • Informs patients of lab results, calls in prescriptions to pharmacies and returns practitioners’ phone messages.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, upon hire 
  • Registered Nurse: Washington State, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR issued by the American Heart Association, upon hire


Preferred

  • One year RN work experience in a clinic setting OR two years of acute care RN work experience

Job Summary and Responsibilities This position is responsible for providing professional care specifically to adult, oncology/hematology patients. Work is performed under standards of safety and care that provide instruction/guidance for taking care of issues and patient needs in the absence of a physician/provider. Work requires the application of judgment and critical thinking skills in making decisions regarding patient care (within the scope of practice), including knowledge and integration of available standards, resources and data, and in the efficient utilization of staff/resources. Work involves continuous contact with physicians/providers, patients, patient families, community agencies, patient care staff and management. An incumbent is accountable for the quality of care provided to patients, and has the authority to direct care, provide education, and delegate appropriate tasks. Essential Functions: Administers, oversees and documents the administration of medications (e.g., topically, orally, intramuscularly, subcutaneously and intravenously) as ordered by the healthcare practitioner and in accordance with hospital policy. Job Summary and Responsibilities **Sign on Bonus Available** The Outpatient Clinic RN coordinates and facilitates quality management of a broad based outpatient population across the continuum of care. Through application of the nursing process through skilled triage and assessment, education, collaboration and coordination of healthcare and community resources, the Outpatient RN supports the care team in the provision of patient care. The Outpatient Clinic RN makes decisions about triaging medical situations, provides patient advice, assists in prioritizing daily work of the clinic and offering nursing practice services to match patient care needs, coordinates pre-visit testing to ensure value added visits, provides direction to team members, including oversight of Medical Assistant’s clinical competency.
