12-hour shifts, rotation between 7a and 10 am start time. On-call rotation. Peds and adult preferred. The shift can actually vary from 7a-7p, 8am-8p, 9am-9p, or 10 am -10p. It will be 12 hrs but can rotate within those times. Generally, 3-4 days of on call per month and timewise can vary but at least 3 hours if called in. Also rotating holidays are involved. Some call will be overnights, except Sunday which can also be during the day, it's on call 24 hours on Sunday.
Pay Range
$38.20 - $57.30Registered Nurse Inpatient Renal Dialysis 0.9 FTE 8am-8pm
Shift: The unit is open 0700-2200 (depending on 10-hour & 12-hour shifts) If patients are still being dialyzed following this time, the expectation is to stay and complete the treatments. Closed Sundays, on-call responsibility Sundays and daily after unit closure, if scheduled to be on-call. On-call is on a rotating basis.
Where You Will Work:
This fast paced 9 bay unit specializes in Inpatient Dialysis, treatment completed in a Critical Care Unit if the patient is able to transfer to the Dialysis unit.
We’re Looking For:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with Current IL RN license
- BSN preferred; ADN acceptable with agreement for nurses with less than 12 months of experience to enroll in BSN completion program to be completed in four years. Nurses with more than 12 months experience in direct patient care must possess a BSN or obtain either BSN or Advocate Aurora Health (AAH) recognized nursing certification within one year of the date of hire or becoming eligible to sit for certification, whichever is later.
- Current AHA CPR
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and different shifts in order to accommodate staffing
- Certain positions may need to take call
- Work environment includes probability of exposure to adverse, hazardous, or unpleasant conditions while caring for the sick
- Ability to assist in evacuation of patients in the event of a fire or other disaster
- Routinely works with potentially infectious specimens and patients
- Ability to respond to patients in a timely manner and access all areas of the unit
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other team member, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
