An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with recent experience to support general health needs within a school district in Blue Springs, MO. This contract role offers a dynamic and impactful environment working with students from PreK through 12th grade, providing nursing care while managing health rooms independently at various school sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Float among different schools in the district, covering health rooms as needed.
Complete a two-week training period with an experienced nurse before managing your assigned health room independently.
Deliver direct nursing care, including assessment and treatment of students, and make informed decisions independently.
Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records; proficiency with computer charting is essential.
Manage fluctuating schedules between 7:00 AM2:30 PM and 9:00 AM4:30 PM based on school start and end times.
Adapt to schedule changes with flexibility, including short-notice modifications due to field trips or staff absences.
Work collaboratively with school staff and families, addressing student health needs in a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

Current Missouri Registered Nurse (RN) license with a clean license record verified through NURSYS.
Recent pediatric nursing experience requiredpreferably in ICU, ER, or school settings.
Comfort working independently and making decisions autonomously.
Strong technology skills with ability to multitask in an electronic health records environment.
Able and willing to flexibly work varied schedules across the school district.
