Scope of work 

As a Nurse with Corewell Health, providing top-notch patient care is paramount. You'll use your critical thinking skills and the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. You'll be responsible for upholding the standards of nursing excellence as described by the ANA, including the code of ethics. About the unit 1E is a 20 bed Med/Surg unit at Blodgett Hospital. Nurses enjoy working on 1E as you are able to become an expert in so many areas since we care for a wide variety of diagnosis. Some of the patients we care for are those with Respiratory illnesses, Acute Kidney Injuries, DKA, Septic Shock and many more. We also have a surgical population of Mastectomy patients and Thyroidectomy patients. In addition to some of the above stated items, 1E also uses Endotool which is our continuous insulin drip program and utilizes cardiac drips. Teamwork is vital within our unit and the staff work to ensure sound communication with the whole care team.
