Nurse Practitioner - Women's Weight Loss/Obesity Medicine

$90,000 - $120,000 / hour

The Nurse Practitioner is a key clinical provider within our Women’s Metabolic Health program, delivering comprehensive, specialized care to women across the lifespan. This role focuses on the interconnected dimensions of metabolic, mechanical, and mental health, providing evidence-based, patient-centered care that empowers women to achieve sustainable wellness. 

This is a full-time (40 hours/week, M-F) virtual position. Nurse Practitioner must be licensed in Pennsylvania and live in Pennsylvania or New Jersey. Potential starting timeline August 2026. 

  • Practices under established NP Standard Procedures, consistent with organizational policy and all applicable state and federal regulations. 
  • Conducts age-appropriate, full-scope assessments, including detailed histories and physical examinations, in alignment with departmental protocols. 
  • Performs intake assessments for women at risk or with Overweight or Obesity and/or symptomatic menopause. 
  • Provides patient education on obesity as a chronic, multifactorial condition, emphasizing long-term health strategies.
  • Utilizes motivational interviewing to promote a healthy lifestyle, including habit change and formation in the areas of nutrition, activity, sleep, and stress management.  
  • Orders diagnostic tests and prescribes medications within scope of practice and patient care protocols. 
  • Provides virtual and phone-based patient consultations; collaborates with clinical teammates to ensure high-quality, seamless care throughout the continuum. 
  • Performs assessment/data collection in an on-going systematic manner, focusing on physiological, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual and cognitive status, patient/family education, family dynamics, and patient advocacy. 
  • Consults with supervising physicians and interdisciplinary partners as indicated by patient presentation. 
  • Participates collaboratively with physicians and other clinicians to support quality outcomes, care consistency, and adherence to clinical pathways. 
  • Reviews medical records for follow-up or ordering of diagnostic studies under established protocols. 
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with members of the health care team, patients, and families. 
  • Applies all safety and risk-management principles, ensuring patient confidentiality and regulatory compliance. 
  • Responds effectively in urgent or emergency situations, following established protocols and documenting appropriately. 
  • Demonstrates knowledge of legal issues, including patient confidentiality and risk management in all aspects of patient care and unit functioning. 
  • Demonstrates an exceptional service philosophy in all interactions with patients, families, and all members of the health care team. 
  • Uses clinical technology, EHR systems, and telehealth tools proficiently to document, track, and communicate care.

 Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MS, MSN, or DNP); Women’s Health focus is strongly preferred
  • Board certification in FNP, AGNP, ANP, or WHNP. 
  • Current, unrestricted Pennsylvania CRNP License and Pennsylvania Prescriptive Authority and DEA required. Additional active New Jersey APN license, CDS and DEA a plus.
  • Ability to obtain additional state licensure as required. 
  • Current enrollment/participation with Insurance Payors in Pennsylvania preferred.
  • 1-2 years’ Obesity Medicine experience required. 
  • MSCP Certification from the Menopause Society strongly preferred, or the ability to obtain within a stipulated timeframe.
  • Must reside in Pennsylvania or New Jersey
