Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Clinical Nurse Specialist located in Ann Arbor, MI. The Clinical Nurse Specialist will provide advanced clinical expertise and lead efforts to improve patient outcomes. Responsibilities include collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, providing direct patient care, conducting assessments, developing interventions, delivering clinical counseling, and facilitating staff education. Additionally, the Clinical Nurse Specialist will contribute to research and evidence-based practice initiatives, identify process improvements, and act as a consultant to enhance patient care practices.

Qualifications

Expertise in Clinical Assessment, Advanced Nursing Practice, and Patient Care Planning
Experience in Interdisciplinary Collaboration and Team Leadership
Strong skills in Evidence-Based Practice and Research Integration
Proficiency in Patient Education and Staff Training Development
Ability to analyze and implement quality improvement initiatives in health care settings
Active licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing (MSN/DNP) with a focus on a specialty area
Certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) or eligibility to obtain certification is preferred
Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Experience in a hospital or academic medical center is a plus
