A healthcare professional is needed to provide dedicated transportation nursing support for a student with special healthcare needs in Waltham, MA. This contract position offers an opportunity to work closely with a non-speaking student diagnosed with autism and a seizure disorder, ensuring safe and medically informed transport between the students home and school.
Location:

Role Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care during transportation, including monitoring and managing potential seizure activity.
- Transport the student from their home to Beverly School for the Deaf in the morning and return with the student to Waltham in the afternoon.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of the student throughout transport.
- Communicate effectively with family and school staff regarding students health status during the day.
- Maintain documentation of care provided during transportation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current LPN or RN licensure valid in Massachusetts.
- Experience working with pediatric patients, especially those with autism and seizure disorders.
- Ability to work independently in a transportation setting.
- Strong communication and observational skills.
Position Details:
- Contract role from ASAP through June 15th, 2026.
- Approximately 1 hour of work daily, involving morning and afternoon transport schedules.
- Onsite presence required during transport times.
