This contract opportunity in Waltham, MA seeks a licensed RN or LPN to provide specialized transportation nursing services for a student with autism and seizure disorder. The role involves supporting a non-verbal child during daily transport to and from Beverly School for the Deaf, ensuring safety and medical care throughout the journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care during daily transportation routes, including morning pick-up from the students home and drop-off at school, as well as afternoon pick-up from school and return home.
- Monitor and manage the students medical needs, focusing on seizure disorder and autism-related care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided during transport.
- Collaborate with school and healthcare staff as needed to support the students well-being.
- Perform duties onsite according to scheduled hours.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid MA RN or LPN licensure required.
- Experience working with children, preferably with autism and seizure disorders.
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a transportation setting.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Location:
- Waltham, Massachusetts (onsite role)
Schedule:
- Approximately 1 hour per day.
- Morning pick-up at 7:00 AM and afternoon pick-up at 1:00 PM.
