Summary
The Executive Referral Nurse Navigator (ERNN) is the primary point of access for executive referral patients and is responsible for providing individualized, coordinated and compassionate care.
The ERNN is responsible for triaging the referred patients to appropriate programs and physicians, ensuring appropriate medical records and communications are received, as well as tracking and monitoring of patient's activities within the Center. This requires detailed clinical interpretation and assessment of Moffitt's evidence-based treatment pathways and advanced knowledge of disease processes.
The ERNN will identify barriers to healthcare delivery and navigate the patients through the process such as transportation, lodging, financial and psychosocial issues.
The ERNN will deliver quality nursing care in accordance with established hospital guidelines, nursing professional practice model, nursing care standards and policies and in accordance with ANA code of ethics and external regulatory agencies.

- Excellent and proven symptom management skills
- Proven ability to coordinate and facilitate care amongst multiple disciplines
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, relationship building and advocacy
- Proven multitasking skills
- Possess strong customer service
- Possesses strong problem-solving abilities, self-management and initiation skills
- Demonstration of developing and maintaining strong working relationships with physicians, nurses and administrators.
- BSN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution. In lieu of BSN, ADN/ASN (associate degree in nursing) from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution. MSN preferred.
- Five (5) years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Oncology experience
- Outpatient experience
- Experience working in evidenced-based improvement activities related to patient care and processes
- Experience facilitating timely needs of a large patient panel
- Active FL RN license
- Active BLS card
