The Manager of Clinical Documentation Integrity oversees the CDI program at Huntsville Hospital. This role provides leadership, operational oversight, and strategic direction for the CDI team to ensure accurate, complete, and compliant clinical documentation. The manager collaborates closely with physician advisors, coding leadership, medical staff, and hospital departments to support documentation quality, DRG accuracy, and organizational performance goals.
Education required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Alabama or Compact State license; BSN required,
Education preferred: MSN/MHA/MBA
License, Certification and/or Registration: Current Alabama or Multistate Nursing license required
Experience: 3 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting. Familiarity with coding preferred.
Certification: Preferred, required upon eligibility
Additional Skills/Abilities: Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Must be able to use computer, word processing and spreadsheet software, fax machine, and copy machine.
