What You’ll Do

In this vital role supporting the health of PeaceHealth caregivers, you will:

  • Conduct post-offer screenings, immunizations, and risk assessments for staff based on job classifications.
  • Evaluate accident and illness incident reports and recommend appropriate intervention.
  • Investigate and manage exposures to bloodborne pathogens and contagious diseases using a comprehensive case management approach.
  • Maintain OSHA- and DNV-compliant programs, documentation, and services.
  • Participate in policy development, quality improvement activities, and onsite program planning.
  • Lead infectious disease prevention, surveillance, and post-exposure follow-up.
  • Conduct medical screenings for new hires, TB testing, and immunizations.
  • Manage confidential medical files for healthcare workers.
  • Support education and public speaking activities for staff.
  • Perform other duties as needed to ensure a safe and healthy workplace.

What You Bring

Required Education and Credentials

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN)
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Alaska
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (upon hire)
  • State of Alaska fingerprinting

Required Experience And Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of current nursing practice, preferably in an acute care setting
  • Strong knowledge and interest in:
    • OSHA regulations
    • Occupational safety
    • Exposure management
    • Injury/illness intervention
    • Case management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort with electronic health records
  • Ability to conduct presentations and develop educational programs
  • Strong communication skills, confidentiality, and sound clinical judgment
