PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates with community partner leaders an staff to assess learning needs.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates educational plans/programs which may utilize methods, measurements, and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
  • Provides technical assistance and leadership to community healthcare professionals as related to education programs and/or quality improvement (QI) projects.
  • Identifies and/or develops teaching tools and instructional materials.
  • Keeps records of educational activities and prepares reports.
  • Applies the existing body of evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge in health care to nursing practice, ensuring that nursing care is delivered based on patient’s age-specific needs and clinical needs as described in the department's scope of service.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing with a nursing certification in a related field (to be obtained within 6 months of hire) or Master's degree in Nursing

EXPERIENCE

  • Five years' registered nurse experience in the field of position applied for.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates with 5+ years of direct experience will receive 24 hours of frontloaded Vacation and Holiday time Overview POSITION SUMMARY: Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan) Licensure/Certification: Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.
