The successful candidate:

Provide direct, compassionate care to patients in a fast-paced emergency setting, including triaging, assessing, and prioritizing care needs.
Work collaboratively with physicians, and other healthcare professionals to implement care plans and interventions.
Perform clinical assessments, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide treatment in alignment with department protocols and patient needs.
Manage complex patient situations, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Educate patients and families about treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health promotion.
Respond promptly to emergency situations and assist in life-saving procedures such as CPR, and other emergency protocols.
Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and maintain high standards of patient safety and confidentiality.
Participate in ongoing training, continuing education, and professional development activities.
Ability to work well under pressure and in fast-paced environments.
Passion for providing excellent, patient-centered care.
Must be able to work 3 12's 7p-7a

Qualifications

Emergency Department or critical care experience.
Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (or eligibility to obtain).
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or obtain within 6 months of hire).
