Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the OR staff, assists in the delivery of patient care during the interoperative phase according to the policies and procedures of the facility. May be called upon to help with the LDRP department in case of emergency staffing needs and the LDRP staff may be called on to help the main OR.

What qualifications you will need:

Graduate from approved Surgical Tech program.
CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP); or CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) from National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) accredited organization; or TS-C (Tech in Surgery -Certified) from the National Center for competency Testing (NCCT).
Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
