Licensed Practical Nurse - Primary Care

RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing a friendly, welcoming, and confidential environment for our Veterans who have served our country valiantly. We are seeking healthcare professionals who are driven and committed to ensuring the health and well-being of our nation's Veterans Office hours are Mon - Fri 8am to 4:30pm. No evenings, holidays, on-call, or weekends! This is a Full - Time position on site 5 days per week. Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information in patient’s electronic medical record Obtain medical histories from patients; verify patient information Prepare, assist, and accurately complete all forms Administer medications and operate diagnostic equipment Assist providers during examinations and treatment Take vital signs and perform all ancillary tests appropriate to skill level, certifications, and state regulations Perform ancillary testing and tasks as ordered by the Center Medical Director (PFT, EKG, injections, audiograms, blood draws, etc.) and as certified Collect lab Specimens from patients and submit received results to medical providers Complete all clinical reminders Answer and return patient telephone calls, messages, and alerts JOB REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma/GED Graduate of an accredited certificate program Current and active state Nursing License One year of continuous experience in clinical operations preferred/ New Grads welcome! RESPONSIBILITIES: As an onsite Telehealth Tech - Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LPN), you will be responsible for providing a friendly, welcoming, and confidential environment for our Veterans who have served our country valiantly. Office hours are Mon - Fri 8:00am to 4:30pm No evenings, holidays, on call, or weekends! This is a Full - Time position. Supports patient care delivery via telehealth onsite. This includes setting the veteran up with the telehealth provider, assisting remote provider in exam using peripheral instruments if necessary, setting up for follow up care as needed. Learns to use telehealth equipment and complete studies such as tele-dermatology and teleretinal exams once trained and certified. Interviews patients, measures vital signs and records information in patient’s electronic medical record. Completes all clinical reminders due at the time of each visit as alerted in the electronic medical record. Obtains medical histories from patients; verifies patient information Prepares, assists, and accurately completes all forms Assists on-site providers during examinations and treatment Performs ancillary testing and tasks as ordered by the Center Medical Director (EKG, injections, blood draws, etc.) as trained and certified Schedules clinic appointments, patient check-in and/or out of the clinic JOB REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma/GED Graduate of an accredited certificate program Current and active Nursing License to practice in the Virgin Islands Knowledge of computer systems to include the MS Office Suite Supports patient care delivery via telehealth onsite.
