Requirements for Physician Assistants

Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies
Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Colorado.
Physician Assistant Certification (PA-C) issued by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required for hire and must be maintained throughout employment
Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in the course of practice.

Work as part of a statewide oncology careprogram-the MaineHealth Cancer Care Network (MHCCN) is an integrated cancer care delivery network across the Southern, Coastal and Mountain regions of Maine and eastern New Hampshire. Designed to provide care as close to home as possible, the networkis comprised of11 hospital partners and provides comprehensive cancer careto more than 7,400 cancer patientsannually. This per diem position allows for flexibility in your work week, though consistent shift coverage in the initial months would be expected. Minimum Qualifications Successful completion of an accredited Physician Associate or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program, with a Master’s Degree level of education. Current Board Certification as a PA/ACNP. Active State of Maine PA/NP license or eligible. Oncology experience preferred.
