What you'll do

Provide individualized care to residents according to each resident’s plan of care.
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ALDs) including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
Assist with mealtime activities, including feeding residents as needed.
Assist residents with mobility, including transferring and positioning them safely.
Monitor residents’ health status and vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nurse.
Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote overall well-being.
Maintain safe, clean, and organized living environment for residents.
Perform other duties as required to provide exceptional care to each resident.

The transitional care unit provides care to children with tracheotomies, G tubes, and ventilators. More than 30 children call our Transitional Care Unit home. While we are their nurses, therapists, dentists and specialists – we are also their teachers, recreation therapists, neighbors and friends. The Certified Nursing Assistant provides restorative nursing care for residents under the direction of the Nursing and/or Rehab staff to maximize and maintain the physical functioning and emotional wellness of the residents. The Certified Nursing Assistant acts as an extender to Nurses, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapist and/or Speech Therapists, performing nursing and/or rehab procedures and resident care tasks within scope of competence and in compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
