Summary:
The CNA Preceptor is responsible for completing the on-boarding, and new hire training for new CNAs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Attends initial and ongoing preceptor program training requirements
Follows the structured preceptor process to effectively onboard and train newly hired CNAs
Utilizes standard onboarding tools such as training checklists and schedule templates
Collaborates with Preceptor Program Leader, and clinical and community leaders for on-going success of the program
Demonstrates competence in areas of teaching, organization, and communication
Provides ongoing coaching feedback to newly hired CNAs and report success and concerns to hiring managers
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
-Current Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification or Level 1 Medication Aide (L1MA) certification in the state of practice
-2+ years of CNA experience and 1+ year of EverTrue service preferred; Direct care experience preferred
-Must be (and remain) in “good standing” with EverTrue, no corrective actions in the rolling 12 months.

-Must be able to demonstrate core values and mission, customer service by prioritizing the needs of internal and external customers including creating a welcoming environment and assisting others without prompting, clinical competency, organizational standards related to operational procedures and clinical policy/procedure
-Must be committed to program for at least 1 year

A well-lighted and ventilated working area that has its own temperature control system (air conditioning and heat). Is subject to emotionally upset residents, or family members. Is willing to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary. Is subject to exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. Is subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including exposure to the AIDS and Hepatitis B virus within guidelines of standard precautions. Appropriate ergonomic and personal safety equipment is provided as needed.

EverTrue Pay & Benefits
Pay grade: 09, $16.20/hour to $25.15/hour. Eligible for shift differentials: Yes. $1.50/hour evenings; $1.00/hour nights; $1.00/hour weekends (States of IL & MO; May vary in other states)
