Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process. Works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. Carries out functions according to hospital policy, the hospital mission, and standards of practice defined by professional and regulatory guidelines. Directs, coordinates and delegates activities in order to foster patient / family centered care.

  • Plans and implements nursing care according to patient and family needs.

Required

  • Associate Degree from an accredited Nursing program
  • Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license
  • BLS certification
  • Experience working in Long Term Care, Memory, or Alzheimer’s Care, or Geriatric Psych unit

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nursing program

Dept: Emergency Department Hours per pay period: 80 Hours Schedule: Variable Position Summary: Responsible for overseeing patient flow and the nursing plan of care for patients within the Emergency Department (ED) in accordance with established hospital and nursing policies, procedures and standards. Assists with patient care on an as-needed basis. Plans, implements, coordinates, and evaluates ED staffing and patient care. Guides and mentors all ED staff in daily nursing activities and decision making for patient and serves as a resource to the ED staff. Participates in the personal development plan for nursing staff.
