LPN School Contract

Provide specialized nursing care in an early childhood school setting, supporting young children with medical needs through a leave contract role. This half-day position offers valuable hands-on experience with 1:1 nursing support for students requiring skilled care.

Location: Lapeer, MI
Setting: Early Childhood Preschool & Childcare
Schedule: 8:00 AM 12:00 PM (half-day coverage)
Dates Needed:

  • February: 3, 9, 12, 17, 19
  • March: 5, 11
  • April: 7, 9, 10
  • May: 7

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 nursing support to children in the educational setting
  • Perform specialized medical procedures including G-tube suctioning and tracheostomy care
  • Monitor students health and well-being throughout the shift
  • Collaborate with school staff to maintain a safe and supportive environment
  • Maintain compliance with required onboarding procedures such as district badge acquisition and onsite fingerprinting

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid LPN/LVN, or RN licensure with school nursing experience preferred
  • Competence in tracheostomy care and G-tube suctioning essential
  • Pediatric nursing experience or previous work in school or early childhood environments highly desirable
  • Ability to work independently within a classroom setting
  • Clear understanding of health protocols in a school environment
