This role involves delivering specialized one-on-one nursing care to young children, ensuring a safe and healthy environment throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 nursing support to a student requiring specialized care
Perform G-tube suctioning and manage tracheostomy (trach) care with precision and compassion
Monitor child's health status and promptly report any changes or concerns
Maintain accurate records of nursing care and interventions
Collaborate with school staff to support the child's needs during school hours
Adhere to all district and school health policies and procedures

Qualifications and Experience:

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with school nursing experience preferred
Competence in G-tube suctioning and tracheostomy care
Ability to provide patient, child-centered nursing care with attention to detail
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with educators and staff
Current compliance with fingerprinting and district credentialing requirements

Schedule and Duration:

Contract position covering leave days on select dates: February 3, 9, 12, 17, 19; March 5, 11; April 7, 9, 10; and May 7
Hours: 8:00 AM 12:00 PM (half-day coverage)
Sub acceptance deadline by 8:00 AM or school start time on each scheduled day
