Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The Registered Nurse Supervisor assists in directing and supervising the implementation of the resident care plan.

The RN Supervisor assists in coordinating and supervising all services on assigned units.

The Registered Nurse Supervisory regularly rounds on nursing units.
The Registered Nurse Supervisor assists in creating a team-oriented atmosphere that enhances resident care and quality of life.
The RN Supervisor facilitates communication between licensed nurses and providers, responsible parties or outside vendors as needed to ensure resident care needs are appropriately met.

Schedule: Per diem, 12-hour rotating shifts. Minimum working requirements are 4 shifts within our 6-week schedule. The primary objective of this position is to improve quality. A registered professional nurse who is able to plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate nursing operations and hospital activities on the designated shift. Job Responsibilities: Representative for hospital and nursing administration in dealing with patients, families, visitors, physicians, press and/or community at large on designated shift. Communicates nursing and/or hospital operational problems to the appropriate Administrator. Acts as a resource for the Access Department to facilitate patient placement according to diagnosis and infection control standards. Coordinates morgue activities, including interactions with families, physicians, funeral directors, police, district attorney’s office and coroner’s office to facilitate the identification and timely release of deceased persons from morgue on designated shift.
