Position Summary:
The STNA provides essential hands-on care and daily support to residents in a long-term care facility. Working under the supervision of licensed nurses, the STNA assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), helps maintain a safe and clean environment, and promotes resident dignity and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist residents with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) as directed.
Assist residents with mobility, positioning, transfers, and use of assistive devices.
Observe and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to nursing staff.
Answer call lights promptly and provide needed assistance.
Help residents with meals, including tray setup and feeding assistance.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
Keep resident rooms clean, organized, and safe.
Provide respectful, compassionate care in accordance with resident care plans.
Follow facility policies, state regulations, and infection control protocols.
Participate in in-service training and continuing education as required.
Qualifications:
Valid STNA certification in the state of employment
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Prior experience in long-term care or assisted living is a plus but not required.
Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively with residents and staff.
Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused.
Physical ability to lift, move, and assist residents and perform job-related tasks.
Current CPR certification (or willing to obtain upon hire).
