Responsibilities:

Conducts individual patient assessment and prioritizes the data collected to decide medical problem/condition and documents in a chart to report to residents’ physicians.
Obtains and records the residents’ vital signs and weight.
Performs specific treatments as ordered by the Physician or Nurse Practitioner.
Performs proper treatments as ordered by the Physician or Nurse Practitioner.
Documents services performed and resident assessment findings.
Observe residents and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment to Wellness Director and Executive Director.
Administers specified medication, orally or by subcutaneous or intermuscular injection, and notes time and amount on community electronic MAR.
Reports resident condition to appropriate personnel during each shift while maintaining resident confidentiality.
Responds to resident inquiries by evaluating and responding to the residents’ problems and questions.

Qualifications:

Leadership and administrative experience is a plus
Must be currently registered with California Board of Vocational Nursing and be certified to administer medications
Current BLS Certification
Previous experience as an LVN in an assisted living facility preferred
Must have good interpersonal skills
