What You Will Do (Job Summary): The LVN will assume the following Pre-Admission responsibilities: Contact by way of telephone, all patients prior to surgery or procedures to assess medical and medication history, review for appropriate labs, EKG’s, and medical clearances. Assesses information/documents and maintaining confidentiality. Responsible to perform pre-op calls to all Surgical/Procedural patients. Responsible to complete anesthesia review sheet after chart review for any patients that need further evaluation from anesthesia for either BMI/EKG/Labs or other co-morbities in the H&P. Alert medical director/anesthesia to any cases that may not be appropriate for the ambulatory surgery center. Use the center cell phone to contact medical director as needed to obtain clearance for any pending cases. Work with doctors and their offices to ensure optimal interventions..
