Seeking motivated individual to join our patient centered team. This individual will support a fast-paced Center for Cardiovascular Health Team. Day shift with no weekend or holidays. Great work environment As our Cardiac Nurse, you’ll care for patients who may have life-threatening cardiac events or conditions while helping their families navigate daily care and the long-term plan for healing and maintenance outside of the hospital. You’ll never have the same day twice as your patients’ needs evolve. That’s why you must be adaptable and detail-oriented, observing vitals and reporting the warning signs early to our multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, EKG techs, and other cardiovascular professionals. Your success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to go the extra mile for your patients and your strong assessment skills. Administers cardiovascular and pharmacological stress tests with the use of imaging modalities and IV therapy as appropriate; interprets EKG findings in accordance with standard protocols. Reviews patient medical records in detail to determine medication regimes (e.g. blood thinner medications, insulin, etc) and confirms what and how to take them prior to the procedure.
