The CLN RN Trauma Program Administrator (TPA) is responsible for the oversight and coordination of
trauma program operations in collaboration with the Trauma Medical Director, Trauma Manager, Trauma
Coordinator, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and clinical support staff. This role ensures the
trauma program adheres to the highest standards of care as defined by the American College of
Surgeons (ACS), state regulations, and internal policies—supporting the hospital's mission to maintain
Level I trauma verification.
The TPA provides advanced clinical and administrative leadership in areas including trauma performance
improvement, trauma registry management, research coordination, education, and multidisciplinary
collaboration across departments and the regional trauma system. This role also oversees daily clinic
operations, managing physician clinics and hospital-based APPs, and is responsible for optimizing
clinical workflows, staffing, budgeting, and regulatory compliance. This position is instrumental in
ensuring excellence in trauma care, education, and prevention throughout the organization.
Education Required
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing required.
License, Certification and/or Registration
• Current Alabama State Registered Nurses License required.
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN),
or CTPM preferred
• ATLS coordinator certification or trauma-related credential desirable.
• Current CPR certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• BCLS certification must be received within the orientation period.
Experience
• Minimum 5 years of trauma, OR, ER, or critical care experience with prior experience in a Level 1
or II trauma center.
• Prefer previous supervisory experience in clinical setting.
• Experience working with electronic medical records.
