School RN in Henderson, NC

Located in Henderson, NC, this full-time Registered Nurse position offers an opportunity to provide specialized nursing care within a middle school setting. The role is contracted for the current school year, starting as soon as possible through June 9, 2026, with a Monday through Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week.

This opportunity focuses on supporting a specific caseload, primarily caring for a middle school student with a tracheostomy. The nurse will be responsible for comprehensive tracheostomy care and managing the students individualized health plan or plan of care. Coordination and supervision of mother nursing or medical staff involved in the students care are essential duties. The role also includes conducting health evaluations and assessments to monitor and support the students health needs effectively.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (LPNs not eligible)
• Training and experience in tracheostomy care and management
• Skilled in developing and implementing individual health plans or plans of care
• Proficiency in conducting health evaluations and assessments in a school environment
• Ability to provide supervision and collaborate with other nursing or medical staff and caregivers
