A 1:1 Registered Nurse position is available to provide specialized nursing care for a 1st-grade student in an elementary school setting in Denver, CO. This contract assignment spans the current school year (CSY) with opportunities for extension into Extended School Year (ESY) and Next School Year (NSY) based on performance and fit.

Key responsibilities include:

Performing suctioning procedures in the mouth as needed, with trach suction rarely required during daytime; administering saline nebulizer and cough assist if the student stays outside without a humidifier for extended periods
Assisting with repositioning the student every two hours using various equipment, including powerchairs, to ensure comfort and prevent complications
Managing diaper changes at least four times during school hours
Administering tube feeding for breakfast and lunch, with each feeding session lasting approximately one hour, during which the student can participate in other activities
Providing water intake approximately five times daily via bolus syringe, accommodating the student's current position

Qualifications and experience desired:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Experience in school nursing and working with pediatric students requiring 1:1 care
Proficiency in suctioning, tube feeding, and managing medical equipment related to respiratory and nutritional needs
Ability to maintain detailed records and communicate effectively with educational and medical teams
