Job Description
- Other duties as assigned. Oversees the development and ongoing editing of unit-specific forms and patient education materials including promoting knowledge of oncology and effects for patients, support partner(s), and care providers.
- Monitors surgical outcomes and patient satisfaction, identifying areas for improvement and reporting key results at Leadership Team meetings.
- Develops and oversees pre and post-op teaching classes, coordinating teaching materials with the physicians’ office.
- Tracks and documents data for National Consortium of Breast Centers Quality Program and National Accreditation Program for Breast Center accreditation.
- Informs and educates patients about their breast imaging results and post-biopsy home care. Provides education, support, and assistance to patients diagnosed with breast cancer, advocating for timely access to care and treatment.
