MMC is recognized by the Joint Commission as a Comprehensive Stroke center and the team of R2 is proud to be integral in the care of this patient population. R2 clinical nursing team includes bright, innovative professionals looking to hold themselves and others to the highest nursing and care standards. Summary Under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurses and according to defined policies and procedures, performs various service duties and technical tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting patients with basic hygiene and activities of daily living. Specific duties may vary by area of assignment. Consideration of the special needs and behaviors of specific patient populations is required. The Certified Nursing Assistant – Acute Care role assists in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect care duties. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs) Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Experience: CNA experience 0-6 months. On-the-job training provided.
