Orwigsburg Nursing and Rehab Center is currently seeking an experienced and motivated RN Unit Manager to join our dedicated nursing leadership team. This is a great opportunity for a Registered Nurse who is passionate about high-quality care, team collaboration, and clinical excellence in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold an active RN license in the state of Pennsylvania

  • Have at least one year of nursing experience in a supervisory role

  • Bring approximately two years of experience in long-term care or physical rehabilitation

  • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Foster a compassionate and respectful environment for residents and team members

  • Thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented setting

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily oversight of resident care in compliance with facility policies and state regulations

  • Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure high-quality clinical outcomes

  • Partner with the Director of Nursing to maintain excellence in care delivery

  • Promote resident independence by establishing and monitoring individualized goals

  • Educate residents and their support systems on conditions, medications, and self-care

  • Address resident needs and concerns using interdisciplinary team approaches

  • Ensure compliance with infection control standards, medication administration policies, and controlled substance regulations

  • Accurately document resident care and nursing services

  • Maintain continuity of care through clear communication and documentation

  • Monitor nursing supplies and equipment to ensure unit readiness

  • Participate in ongoing professional development and clinical education

  • Share in on-call responsibilities as part of a rotating schedule

Nurse Supervisor-RN

The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to, the following: Supervising the medical care of all patients from registration to departure; Supervising clinical personnel on their patient contact, care, and performance; Scheduling Staff Nurses and Medical Assistants; Reviewing and supervising the inventory of medicines, prescriptions, and supplies; Acting as Patient First representative for the Director of Medical Support and the Medical Director in his or her absence to ensure smooth operation of the center; Functioning as an administrator and working as a Staff Nurse as needed; Reviewing all checklists of Staff Nurses and Medical Assistants; Preparing written and verbal evaluations for Staff Nurses and Medical Assistants at appropriate scheduled time, or when necessary; Providing positive, warm and friendly customer service in all interactions; Fostering teamwork and a positive, professional atmosphere; Completing other duties as directed.
