Job Summary and Qualifications

The Inpatient Rehab Registered Nurse demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients.

What you will do in this role:

Promote customer service initiatives along with the Hospital Values while documenting all patient care.

Utilize Nursing Process for individual care to meet needs of inpatient rehab patients.

Perform duties in accordance with unit specific standards of care and evidenced by documentation, observation and competencies.

Assessment completed within 24 hours of admission and each shift as needed by patient condition.

Nursing Plan of Care is developed to meet individual patient needs according to nursing standard of care/practice within 24 hours of admissions. Plan is updated with any changes in patient condition at least every 24 hours.

Formulate and take nursing actions to implement plan of care; record actions and patient response in Meditech.

Provide patient education and documentation of understanding regarding tests, procedures, equipment and medications.

Qualifications:

· CRRN preferred

· Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for appropriate state

· Nursing degree – Diploma, AS, or BS

· BLS

· Direct inpatient rehab experience; one year or more preferred, involving extensive knowledge of rehab/criteria
