We are actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Unit Manager to lead our nursing team. While we are primarily seeking an RN, we will also review LPN candidates with a strong clinical background and leadership experience.

Responsibilities
As a Nurse Unit Manager, you are a pivotal leader responsible for the delivery of high-quality care and the efficient operation of your unit:
Clinical Oversight: Proactively assess evolving patient needs to implement individualized treatment plans and track progress according to HIPAA guidelines.
Leadership & Supervision: Directly supervise nursing staff, providing guidance on medication distribution, blood draws, and critical care elements.
Compliance & Safety: Systematically conduct nursing rounds multiple times per shift to ensure staff adhere to local, state, and federal guidelines.
Interdisciplinary Coordination: Collaborate with physicians and the broader care team to ensure a seamless, holistic recovery process for all residents.
Education: Provide essential training to staff, residents, and family members regarding health conditions and facility protocols.
Performance Management: Participate in staff evaluations, providing constructive coaching to foster professional development and adherence to best practices.
Resource & Conflict Management: Manage unit supplies and equipment efficiently while resolving patient or staff concerns to maintain a positive environment.
Mentorship: Act as a clinical resource for floor nurses, troubleshooting complex clinical scenarios and promoting evidence-based care.
Qualifications
Licensure: Must possess an active, unrestricted RN or LPN license in the state of Illinois.
Clinical Strength: For LPN candidates, a strong background in complex clinical care and long-term care operations is required.
Autonomy: Proven ability to work independently, make critical decisions under pressure, and champion team goals.
Computer Proficiency: Skilled in Electronic Health Records (EHR) and standard office software.
Leadership (Preferred): Prior experience managing staff and unit operations in an inpatient or long-term care setting.
Specialized Expertise (Preferred): Background in geriatric nursing is a plus.
