Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Transport Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in New Jersey. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting patients to and from appointments, ensuring their comfort and safety during transport. You will also assist with various patient care tasks as needed and provide support to the nursing department when there are no scheduled appointments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Transport: Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, ensuring they are properly secured, comfortable, and attended to during the trip.
  • Patient Assistance: Assist patients with mobility, positioning, and other personal care needs before, during, and after transport.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulations, and patient care policies during transport.
  • Collaboration with Nursing Department: On days with no scheduled appointments, you will be given other responsibilities by the Nursing Department, such as assisting with patient care tasks, maintaining patient records, or providing support to other team members as needed.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate records of transportation schedules, patient status, and any incidents during transport.
  • Team Support: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient patient care delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Active CNA certification in New Jersey.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
  • Compassionate, patient-focused, and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and tasks.
  • Previous experience in healthcare or patient transport is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to assist with patient transfers and lifting when necessary.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and drive for extended periods of time.

Additional Information:

  • Hours may fluctuate based on patient appointment schedules.
  • Candidates must be flexible and willing to take on various duties within the nursing department as needed.
  • Must adhere to all healthcare regulations and guidelines.
