Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Nurse Apprentice, you will deliver high quality, patient centered care in a variety of services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. In this role: 

  • You will assist the nursing staff in providing patient care inaccordanceyour skills/training and the needs of the department. 

  • You will consistentlyassistthe patient care team withmaintaininga clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment. 

  • You will obtain orassistin the collection of specimens for diagnostic or waived tests and ensure accuracy of all labels anda timelytransfer of specimen. 

  • You will follow patient and employee safety/security policies and protocols, including hand hygiene, use of universal precautions, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to isolation procedures. 

  • You will perform clerical work as needed, including assembling andmaintainingcharts, filing,answeringand transferring phones, and relaying messages. 

What qualifications you will need: 

  • Nurse Apprentice license 

  • In the last semester of nursing school 

  • PreviousC.N.A or Unit Secretary experience preferred
