Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab) Department

Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab) Registered Nurses (RN) play a pivotal role in the Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab) assisting with diagnostic heart procedures. The Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab) Registered Nurse (RN) duties may include but are not limited to: preparing and monitoring patients during procedures, administer medications and sedation, assisting physicians during procedures (like angiograms, stent placements, left/right heart catheters, cardioversions, venous pacemaker wire implant insertions and transesophageal echocardiograms - TEE’s), monitor vital signs and heart rhythms, manage sterile technique and equipment, and provide post-procedure care and patient education. The ideal Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab) Registered Nurse (RN) would have previous Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab) and/or Interventional Radiology (IR) Registered Nurse (RN) experience.
