Summary of Job:

Performs the functions of LPN in implementing and evaluating nursing care for all assigned patient care in collaboration with a registered nurse. Practices nursing in accordance with established standard of practice, policies and procedures.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Participates in the modification of the plan of care by collaborating with other members of the multidisciplinary team with consideration of the developmental needs of the patient.
Participates in the evaluation of the patient’s response to interventions based upon predicted outcome
Reassesses the patient as defined in the Nursing Standards of Care Policy and modifies the plan of care as needed.
Contributes to the assessment of the patient by conducting focused assessments of the patient.
Collects data and compares the data collected to the patient’s previous condition and documents/reports as appropriate.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Current LPN licensure from the State of Oklahoma required.
Current BLS required.
Experience preferred.
NIH Stroke Scale certified within 2 months of hire.
Proof of IV therapy course through LPN education program or IV therapy venipuncture activity training course required within 6 months. Record of procedure proficiency.
Venipuncture skills required.
Basic computer skills required.
