Job Summary

Reporting to the Director, Medical Surgical Nursing, provides assistance with nursing care of patients as needed under the direction and supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Nursing care is provided in accordance with the stated philosophy and standards established by the Nursing Services Department and regulatory agencies. The PCT/Student Nurse is accountable for the aspects of nursing care they are directed to provide within their scope of practice.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be currently enrolled in a professional nursing educational program.
  • Experience
  • Acute care experience preferred.
  • At least one medical surgical clinical rotation required
  • Licensure and/or Certification
  • BLS healthcare provider required.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
