Infection Preventionist/Nurse Educator-RN Qualifications & Responsibilities: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Current, Unencumbered New Jersey Registered Nurse License Infection Prevention Certification Wound care/infection prevention experience preferred Minimum of 1 year experience working as a nurse in a long-term care setting Provide patient care based on scientific principles/nursing theory and evidence-based practice Recognize change in the patient’s condition and intervene appropriately Prioritize nursing actions including reflecting patient needs, acuity, and desired outcomes Implement physician orders accurately within appropriate time frames Educate and counsel patients and their families on wound care processes and issues Other duties as assigned by Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing or Administrator.
