Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a DON for a Hospice in Edgewater, NJ. The Hospice DON will be responsible for:

 

  • An RN with clinical management experience preferred
  • Responsible for RN case managers' oversight 
  • Triage experience
  • Ability to communicate with families and fellow staff members
  • Plan, prepare and execute staff in-service
  • Responsible for CHHA education and disciplinary action
  • Experience with chart auditing and QAPI standards
  • Experience with CHAP survey standards 
  • CPR/ AED certified
  • Hospice experience required
  • Wellsky/Consolo EMR
  • Record keeping of all staff medical records and licensing documents

Qualifications • Discharge Planning and Utilization Management skills • Nursing and Medicine knowledge • Experience in case management • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work in a team and independently • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field • Experience in hospice care is a plus • Current RN license in the state of New Jersey
