Scope of work

The unit partners with local refugee programs and routinely supports non–English-speaking patients. Onsite resources include a Vietnamese interpreter as well as phone and iPad devices to facilitate language translation services. As a large practice, the unit offers opportunities for professional growth and development across all roles. Both the onsite manager and supervisor have clinical backgrounds. Daily responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, administering vaccines and medications, completing in-basket work, answering phones, and performing point-of-care testing. Newly hired individuals will complete an onsite training period and be paired with a Senior Medical Assistant for mentorship and support.
