MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Clinical Nurse for its Genitourinary Cancer Center outpatient team.
The ideal candidate is a licensed RN with at least two years of nursing experience, preferably in an outpatient setting. Experience with genitourinary (GU) care and related procedures is highly preferred, and oncology experience is a plus.
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (30 minute lunch)
Salary range: $68,000 - minimum - $105,000 midpoint - $142,000 maximum

Key Functions
Participates in daily unit operations to achieve and maintain the financial goals by utilizing all resources effectively and efficiently.
Provides quality and fiscally responsible patient care.
Proactively anticipates patient and family needs in collaboration with the Charge Nurse, Clinical Nurse Leader, and Nurse Manager.
Utilizes available material resources responsibly for direct patient care.
Participates in change initiatives. Fosters peer relationships and participates in coaching and mentoring. Complies with regulatory standards.
Participates in assessing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of safe and effective patient and family care utilizing evidence-based and empirical outcome measurements.
Provides feedback to the Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, and Clinical Nurse Leader through the evaluation of performance of clerical and clinical staff.

EDUCATION
Required: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
Required: Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification if working in the following department: ASC Post Anesthesia (600761).
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) if working in the following departments: ASC Post Anesthesia (600761) or Pedi - Child & Adolescent Center (113200).
Preferred: OCN - Oncology Nurse Certification, Certification in specialty practice.
Experience
Preferred: Two years of clinical nurse experience in an ambulatory/outpatient setting.
All clinical nurses with less than one year of registered nurse (RN) work experience will be required to participate in the Clinical Nurse Residency Program.
