School Registered Nurse | Gretna, Louisiana

A K-12 school in Gretna, LA is seeking three full-time Registered Nurses to serve as School Nurses. This is a contract position for the current school year (CSY), providing essential healthcare services in the student health room. The role is based in the New Orleans area and requires 35 hours per week.

Responsibilities include managing student health needs, providing first aid, administering medications, and maintaining health records. Collaborating with staff and parents to ensure a safe and healthy school environment will be key. The School Nurse will also promote health education and support individual care plans as needed.

Qualified candidates will hold an active RN license, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; however, an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) will also be considered. Experience working in school or pediatric settings is advantageous. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential.
