Assistant Director of Nursing

Job Summary:

A premier skilled nursing and healthcare center, is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing to join our dynamic team. As a key leader, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care, fostering a positive work environment, and promoting our center's commitment to dignity, compassion, and excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the nursing staff, including delegating tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring progress

  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards of care

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and company policies

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes

  • Mentor and develop staff, providing feedback, coaching, and training to improve skills and performance

  • Manage staffing levels, schedules, and employee assignments to ensure adequate coverage

  • Foster open communication and a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration

  • Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, medical staff, and community partners

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field

  • At least 2 years of experience in a long-term care or acute care setting, with a strong background in nursing leadership

  • Current RN license in the state of Illinois

  • Strong clinical and leadership skills, with the ability to think critically and solve problems effectively

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
