Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assistance & Comfort: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating, ensuring comfort and dignity.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Measure and document patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate.
- Personal Care & Hygiene: Support patients in maintaining their personal hygiene, including oral care, changing bed linens, and assisting with bathroom needs.
- Mobility Support: Assist patients with moving, including transfers from bed to wheelchair, walking assistance, and positioning to prevent bedsores.
- Patient Observation: Monitor patients for changes in physical or mental health, reporting any concerns to the nursing staff or Unit Manager.
- Patient Safety: Ensure the safety of patients at all times by observing safety protocols and assisting with fall prevention measures.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, building trust and ensuring they feel heard and valued.
- Collaboration: Work closely with RNs, LPNs, and other healthcare team members to provide optimal care and contribute to patient care plans.
Qualifications:
- Active STNA certification in the state of Ohio.
- A passion for providing compassionate care and helping others.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.
