What You’ll Do At DBH
- Serve as Clinical Nurse Manager under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON)
- Assist the DON in the organization and administration of the Nursing Department
- Supervise psychiatric nurse supervisors; directs/supervises licensed and non-licensed nursing staff
- Acts for DON in his/her absence
- Communicate/collaborate with interdisciplinary team(s) and other clinical disciplines
- Develop and oversee patient education by all clinical disciplines
- Develop an annual plan for professional improvement
- Monitor and train nursing staff
This is an hourly position and is exempt from the bargaining units, with a pay range of #16 on the E1 Exempt Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 7:30pm (Flexible Schedule).
Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.
Requires current license as registered professional nurse in state of Ohio as issued by Board of Nursing per Section 4723.03 of Revised Code; 36 mos. exp. in psychiatric nursing or delivery of nursing services to persons with developmental disabilities; completion of undergraduate core program in nursing; 18 mos. trg. or 18 mos. exp. in supervision; 18 mos. trg. or 18 mos. exp. in management; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in counseling; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in public relations.
- Or equivalent of the Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience requirements, but not for the mandated licensure.
