The Registered Nurse - Outpatient Behavioral Health will provide high quality care to patients and families calling or presenting for mental health needs through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and performs a wide variety of patient care services to assist physicians/advanced practice practitioners in delivering excellent care to patients of the practice. In addition, the RN will provide support to the esketamine and the long-acting injectable clinics.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Certification at the basic level through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an RNC preferred.
  • Experience: Two years of RN experience in a mental health setting, preferable with at least one year in an acute or inpatient setting required.

The multidisciplinary team treats individuals experiencing major mental illnesses and addiction related problems. The program includes voluntary and involuntary levels of care. Our team of mental health professionals plan and work together with the patient to provide psychiatric care, medical treatment, support, referral for follow-up care, and opportunities for learning and emotional growth. Summary The Registered Nurse II - Acute Care – MCH role is responsible for the management of patient care, including clinical nursing practice/caring, leadership, management, professionalism, and growth/development, as well as the independent assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
